-4 FIRST OR LAST KISS?

Tell me why am I emotional ?

When I knew it from the start.

-'β™‘'-

Every time she steps into the room, a storm brews within me, a tempest of emotions that I can't seem to control.

I despise her presence, the way it makes my heart race and my mind cloud with anger.

I loathe her for making me feel this way, for being the one person I cannot seem to escape.

Yet, beneath the layers of disdain, there's an undeniable truth that gnaws at my soul-I still love her.

It's a love that's been buried under the weight of my darker self, a love

I'm determined to deny for her own safety.

If feigning indifference is the shield that will protect her from the demons that haunt me, then I'm prepared to lose her, to let her slip through my fingers like grains of sand, just to ensure she remains untouched by the darkness that lurks within me.

Being in her proximity ignites a hectic storm within me, a tempest of fury mingled with an unyielding desire.

Yet, amidst the chaos, a whisper of reason persists

-I am a danger to her, a threat cloaked in the guise of love.

My very essence is a poison, and for her salvation, she must remain beyond my reach.

It's a cruel twist of fate that the one thing my soul yearns for is the one thing I must deny myself.

For in this twisted game of love and protection, it's her safety that must triumph over my selfish longing.

In the past two years, I've only become more harmful to those around me, and I can't bear the thought of Amaya being one of them.

That was the threshold; I could no longer assist. Yet, I was compelled to feel her touch just once more, and then, perhaps, this ordeal would reach its end.

I edged closer, my hands cautiously caressing her cheeks, as I drew near enough for our noses to brush against each other, our lips a mere whisper apart.

'Why?'

I breathed out, my eyes clamped shut, her cinnamon scent enveloping me, heightening the tension of the unknown."

The world faded away, leaving nothing but the electric tension that hummed between us.

With a courage born of desperation, I closed the distance, our lips meeting in a kiss that was both an answer and a destruction.

It was a collision of past pain and present desire, a silent vow that this moment would change everything. As our kiss deepened, the barriers crumbled, and I knew that there was no turning back from the path we had chosen. In the aftermath, we stood, breathless and vulnerable, the truth of our connection laid bare.

Her silent cries was the most irritating thing I've ever experienced I had always respected her emotions but this time ? I just couldn't.

I took a quick step back and snapped at her,

"Amaya, you need to leave, now."

She didn't open her eyes, just kept crying.

I realized she wasn't going to budge, so I stormed out, slamming the door behind me.

Pulling out a cigarette, I lit it, trying to calm down.As I stood there, lost in the haze of my thoughts and the smoke of my cigarette,

I heard footsteps approaching. It was Nia, She had a knack for showing up at the most unexpected times.

"Nia, not now," I muttered, but she ignored my protest.

She walked past me without a word and entered the room.

I flicked the cigarette away and followed, curious despite myself. Inside, I saw Nia sitting beside Amaya, her presence a silent comfort. She didn't say anything, just sat there, and somehow, her being there made the room feel less tense.

I watched them for a moment, Nia's calmness contrasting with the storm of emotions that had just passed. It was then I realized, sometimes, you don't need words to make things better; sometimes, just being there is enough.

Which I lacked in my life a friend a family .

As the smoke from my cigarette curled up into the air,

I leaned against the wall outside the room, my mind racing.

The silence was heavy, broken only by the distant sounds of the city.

I knew I had to go back in there, the world which now I am part of , the world where now I belong to, there's no escape from that world, and no one beside me can enter that world with me .

But for that moment, I just needed a break, a moment to gather my thoughts and brace myself for the conversation that was to come.

Hey everyone, I know you've been super patient waiting for updates. Sorry to keep you hanging!

This chapter's a quick read, but hang tight because the next one's a deep dive into Aksh and Amaya's past. You'll finally get the full picture.

On a personal note, I'm hitting a rough patch right now. I'd really appreciat

e your good vibes and prayers to help me get through this. Thanks a ton!
